DEFTONES @ ROCK WERCHTER, BELGIUM 29th OF JUNE 2006
Wow, yesterday was a great performance by Deftones at Rock Werchter (5th time I saw them)!
The traffic on the way to the festival sucked big time! We got stuck for like two hours (5 kilometers away from the festival),
but we managed to arrange a short-cut (thanks to a local old guy) and to park the car like 2,5 kilometers from the festival.
We had to run the last kilometers to catch the show in time, but we did it!!
And it was fucking worth it (even when we had lots of blisters on our feet and were drowned in our own sweat when we arrived!)
The show was amazing, allthough Chino didn't feel very well. First time I ever saw Passenger live (great song to open with!!).
Maynard didn't feel like singing along. He played after the Deftones show with Tool that day. Later on, during the set
Deftones f*cking played RX Queen!!!! How neat is that!!! I never heard that song live before! It was great and Chino sang it beautifully.
The rest of the band played tight as always and Chi jumped around and screamed like only he can.
All the 'beautiful' guitars of Stephen were used and Abe (my favourite drummer of all time) grooved like a motherf*cker.
It was just another perfect day out with Deftones!
