------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taste of Chaos Tour 2006, April 2nd - The Everett Events Center
First off, I've never been to this arena before tonight's event. I live in Seattle and so this a bit of trek up
to the north for me. Tonight I'm going to the show as both a Deftones fan and an Atreyu fan, as for the
rest of the line-up, some of the bands I've never even heard of, and the others- well, I just don't really
care about them...
I've seen both the Deftones and Atreyu twice before:
Deftones:
-107.7fm, The End's Endfest 2000 @ the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and
-Oct 2003 @ The Paramount Theater in Seattle.
Atreyu:
-March 2005 @ El Corazon (formerly The Graceland) in Seattle and
-Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver BC -Vans Warped Tour 2005(I met all the guys in Atreyu at that show-
they are cool dudes!!!)
So yeah- on with the review..
Atreyu was very crazy as usual, (don't forget to catch them this summer on the 2nd stage at Ozzfest 2006)
and I got their autographs on a cool poster at the Rock Star Energy Drink Booth.
I don't know what happened on the rest of tour, but if anyone thinks that the Deftones have lost their edge of
something.. They are wrong!!!! Tonight, the Deftones came out in full force and fucking kicked ass- they were
simply amazing. They played a bunch of stuff from all 4 albums, and the crowd loved it. I think the best crowd
reaction came during Change (In the House of Flies). Street Drum Corps played along w/ Deftones during
Passanger. Anyways, another great night of music and another great performance by rock legends, The Deftones.
Chino and co. have no lost their edge and are as insane and brilliant as ever!!! The new song they played during
their set, sounded cool and had some keyboard action in the beginning and Chino played guitar on the song.

Just wanted to say that the review from Seattle was wrong, they did not play Passanger with Street Drum Corps.
They played RX Queen with Street Drum Corps. I would have been hella stoked if they played Passanger, but they
didn't. Just wanted to clear things up. But the show did fucking kick ass. Like the other fella said, anyone who says
the Deftones are lacking in stage presence is damn wrong. They fucking out performed every band on the tour, easily.
I was talking with my cousin on the way back. We were wondering why no one can schedule a good fucking concert
anymore. It seems, at least with Ozzfest last year, and Taste of Caos this year, there has just been a string of bands
that all sound exactly the same, with a few exceptions. We need a good fucking tour!
-we want a tour with this line up,
DEFTONES
INCUBUS
CKY
A PERFECT CIRCLE
LACUNA COIL
No bands in between, just these five. WE needs this shit!!!

this was the 3rd time i've seen deftones and this was probably the best show ever including all the
other bands i've seen. what really made it was the "seats" we ended up with......bar seats in a VIP
suite right on the left side of the stage!!
the night started of in chaos.....we got to the show really late due to a last minute hunt for some quality
herbage. as soon as we got in the door i headed straight for the first tunnel to see if deftones had already
started, fortunately they hadn't. while i was standing there checking out the scene, i noticed i was standing
right next to a VIP suite. there was hardly anyone in the suite and the door to the main concourse was wide
open.....and no security guards checking tickets. there was a countertop with bar stools where it looked like
some people had been sitting. there were a bunch of empty food wrappers and cups. so i stood there for
another 10 minutes and no one showed up. i was feeling lucky so i told my friends to "follow me no matter what"
and we walked right in and sat down at the counter. i figrued it wasn't "stealing" if the seats weren't being used.
if anyone came back or asked us to leave we would.
i didn't think our time in the suite would last long cause as soon as the deftones came on one of my friends
went nuts and started standing on one of the bar stools and was screaming as loud as he could. i thought for
sure then someone would get pissed and kick us out. but no one said a word to us, which was kind of weird
since they were all just sitting there quietly. it was so rad to have a chill place to rock out and enjoy the show,
i wish i could have "seats" like that for every show. the only bad thing was that the show was "dry", no beer
SUCKS!!! but the suite had ice water and it was better than nothing!! big thanks to the people who actaully paid
for the suite, thanks for being cool and not kicking us out!! if i can ever afford a suite myself and it isn't full with my
friends, i will invite random people to join us.
some of the songs i remember them playing (not in order):
Nosebleed
7 Words/Root
Birthmark
My Own Summer
BQAD
Lotion
Digital Bath
Rx Queen
Change
Hexagram
+ 2 new songs
I was really hoping for at least one song off the B-sides (Sinatra or The Chauffer), but no luck there. deftones
didn't play Passenger with Street Drum Corps (review from Alex), it was RX Queen. Passenger would have been
sweet though.....i still have my fingers crossed for a tool-tones tour.......
quote of the night: "how's that taste?!?!"
lovin the chaos,
