Well folks once again the deftones have blew away another city,along with
incubus and taproot.Taproot went on first for about a set of 30 minutes,they
were very energetic and hyper.The singer(stephen richards),went into the
crowd a whole bunch of times,he walked all the way to the mosh pitt and was
getting down with the crowd.There was a blow up doll going around in the
crowd and the singer grabbed it and put it by the drummer(jarod
montague)while he was playing,over there performance was really good,they
suprised me very much.Next was incubus who did a very well good
performance,the sound wasn't that high but the music sounded just as good as
the cd.the singer(brandon boyd)was pretty hillarious,he kept saying funny"hi
kids were incubus",it was pretty funny.they played about an hour set which
was good,brandon even brought his mobile percussions out which was pretty
cool. They played songs such as make yourself,drive,stellar,new
skin,warmth,clean,pardon me,and others which i didn't get to write
down.Overall the performance was great.Ahhh Yesss last but not least the
great deftones,which were rocking the crowd from beginning to end.They
dropped about a 30 foot banner of white pony before they went on,and opened
up with korea,the banner got stuck as soon as the heaviness came on during
korea,so they just decided to rip the banner off,which was a relief.The band
was very energetic(as always)especially chino and chi(as always).They played
songs from all three albums,during my own summer he stopped the song and
helped the crowd out cause they had fell,and countinued with the rest of my
own summer.
Chino was also making funny comments during the show,a girl in the
audience grabbed his crotch area and he was making jokes about that,which was
pretty freaking funny,during teenager a disco ball came out which was badass
and then he started saying lyrics to knife prty and went straight into knife
prty.The band rested for about 5 minutes and came out with be quiet and drive
and of course the rest of the songs which you can see below,Now the most
speacial part of the evening was 7words.This wasn't no ordinary 7words
because right before chino says"shut up you don't know me",instead they went
into weezer"say it ain't so",which was the greatest mix ever,after that they
went right back into"squeal like a pig you big fucking ape"which was
awesome!!Overall the show was great on a
jalapeno scale of 1 to 10,i say 9 and one bitten,only because the didn't play
damone.It's all good though:)
