*Taste Of Chaos* Salem Oregon, 4-1-06 Set list *not in exact order*, I think this was all. Feiticura My Own summer Hexagram Beware The Water RX Queen FT. Street Drum Corps Digital Bath Nose Bleed Be Quiet and drive Bloody Cape Change 7 Words Root Around the Fur 7 Words Part 2 All in all it was a kick ass show. CHINO KILLED. He was way on. This is the 2nd Deftones show i've been to and it was well worth the drive. Not a whole lot of banter between songs..they basically just played the set. Chino kept refering to the town as "portland" when the show was actually a good 45 minutes south of Portland in the state capitol Salem. Taste of Chaos had that messed up though.. it was adveritsed as being in "Portland". Whatever...great show none the less..can't wait for the new record. James www.stopwatchtrauma.net ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Deftones played at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem, OR on April 1st. The show was everything I expected and more. They came out to Feiticiera and really got everyone going. The pit was unbelievable. I was about 3 rows back in the center of the pit, but everyone was packed soo close together. Chino came out to the front and center of the pit, towering over us as he sang Hexagram. He crouched down during the first verse, and I held his hand for most of the verse. When the second chorus hit, the mosh collapsed in the center and front (where I was) and we all got trampled on. Chino stopped the song completely until everyone was off the floor, telling all everyone to "get the fuck back." I think some kids got pretty badly hurt, but I guess they shouldn't have been in the pit. He played most of the favorites, including a very well played "Digital Bath" (his voice is usually on and off when they play that song live) and an incredible "Be Quiet And Drive." After they played "Change," and all the softcore Deftones fans started to clear out, we started a chant of "7 Words!" And Chino gets on the mic and whispers, "You want it?" And then puts up seven fingers, and they start into the song. Before the bridge, they changed to "Lifter," and then to "Root," and then finished 7 Words. I was upset there was no encore, because I would have loved to hear Knife Prty, Bored, or Headup. They played the following songs (in fairly accurate order): Feiticiera My Own Summer Minerva Rx Queen Hexagram Digital Bath Around The Fur BQAD Bloody Cape Change 7 Words / Lifter / Root / 7 Words The show was amazing - they played sooo well. Best concert I have ever seen. -Geoff
