I'll only accept reviews from recent shows!
I just got back from the free concert in Sacramento. It was absolutely off the hook!
When I got there the place was packed! They estimated around 10,000 people would show up.
I don't know how many did...but the whole park was filled, you could barely move.
When the band came on the place erupted. From where I stood I could only really see chino and chi.
Chi looked like he was about to pass out at any minute from heat exhaustion.
He was dripping with sweat cause it was about 90-95 degrees and the packed conditions didn't help.
When I saw Chino during the Taste of chaos...he looked a bit on the heavy side but he was wearing a
huge flannel jacket. When he came out in his t-shirt for this show...he didn't look fat AT ALL.
he looked ripped. So people can let go of how they look and focus on the music.
As for the playlist they played 95% of adrenaline...the voice was a bit echoed...
I don't know if it was an f/x chino wanted or not. But his voice had a pretty weird echo...
if it wasn't planned f/x then it still coulda worked cause it made his voice sound even crazier.
They did some of the songs off ATF (from what i remember they did: my own summer, be quite and drive,
around the fur, rickets, headup)...and from white pony they did Change and Digital bath.
Some noteable moments would be towards the end. I am not sure what song it was (i think it was
from adrenaline) but chino changed his voice inflection and was basically rapping a song.
I am not sure if that was planned cause he was cracking up the whole time and so was chi.
During 7 words (i think that was the song...my memory fails me)...he busted into the intro for wicked.
It was awesome. Overall, the show was great. I can't wait to see them this august when they come back home.

That show at Cesar Chavez park was the best you could possibly imagine. The entire band played their
asses off and Chino showed why he is one of a kind. They fucking rocked the whole time and played the
best set a true fan could ask for! Old school songs ruled the set list, with some songs I havent seen them
play live in years, like Minus Blindfold, one of the best songs on Adrenaline, they almost played the whole
album! It was goddam surreal being in the middle of downtown with them playing....as a native of Sac,
I never imagined that would ever happen. When they start playing Headup in the middle of the set I knew
this was something special! Even with all the great hard shit they played, Digital Bath and Change slowed
it down and really let some people sit back and think how lucky they are to be at the show.
A beautiful evening at that setting is never to be duplicated quite like that again....
I really hope they understand how much the city of Sacto appreciated that, not just the fact that it was free,
but that they blew the place up, and played like it was the last show they might ever play.
Much Respect, Matt J
