Taste of Chaos Tour: March 29, 2006 Sacramento, California
Home of The Deftones!
First of all i'd like to start by saying "DEFTONES FUCKIN' ROCK!!!" The concert was outrageous!
Especially since our home town heroes THE DEFTONES WERE HOME! Even during the beginning
of the show which started at 5pm, people around me kept screamin for the deftones. They all moshed
to Atreyu, Thrice and As I Lay Dying, but all n all, when the deftones showed up, the whole place got
packed! From what i heard the hallways where the merchandise was being sold was all empty, so
everybody was in the pit, and even the seats around and in the back, the crowds were all standing up
and jumpin like crazy! I was behind some dude up at front so i could see the tones clearly, the crowd i
could tell was gonna be so crazy that during Atreyu, which were third to last of the main stage shows i
started moving up. I wasn't gonna miss my band for sure, being a hard core deftones fan, it took me
about an hour and a half to reach the second row in the pit, but it was fuckin worth it. I was bleeding i
was bruised, but it was all worth it. Once the deftones came on, the whole crowd got fuckin crazy as hell.
They started with Feiticeira went on to My Own Summer, people in the pit sang along and so did i!
Then they played their new song which no one knew the words too, but i could tell that everyone thought
it was badass and so did i, just made our anticipation for their new record to come out quick! They then
entered to Hexagram and Rx Queen with Street Drum Corps, which fuckin rocked the night away even more!
After that they played Be Quiet and Drive then Bloody Cape, which is one of my favorites, so u can tell i was
fuckin moshing to it! During these two songs, i was being crushed badly by people tryin to get out of the pit,
but staying the hardcore deftones fan that i am, i kept moshing! Around the Fur followed after that and then
Change(in the house of flies), which had people taking out their lighters and cell phones. The Deftones ended
the conert with a merging of 7 words, Root, headup, and the last half of 7 words. To tell the truth this is
actually the first time i have ever seen the deftones live and so now i have a very higher respect for my favorite band.
They took their hometown of Sacramento by storm! I will be going to all their hometown concerts from now on and
keep moshing to THE DEFTONES!!!

Just got back from Arco Arena and the Deftones blew the place up! The other bands sucked really really hard.
The funny thing is each band could only get a good crowd reaction when they asked "You guys ready foir the deftones?"
or "Sacramento!! Home of the Deftones!!!" Other than that the crowd was just waiting for the headliners.
When the deftones came on the crowd went apeshit. They played the usual setlist, the only things that stood out was
before they played Digital Bath Chino kind of quited the crowd then deicated the next song to "Cheng, Cunningham,
Delgado, and Carpenter." then the other part was they added Lifter inbetween there last few songs so it actually went:
7words root Lifter 7words. The band looks like....well...it doesn't amtter cause they are MUSICIANS!! Who cares what
they look like as long as the music stays amazing!! However, chino did fall pretty hard towards the end kinda funny but
he recovered quickly...the show was amazing...and I can't wait till they come back home.

So check this out. In my opinion this concert showed me why I think the Deftones are made for smaller venues!!
I totally disagree with the other reviews of this night. Not about the Deftones but of the crowd. I think there were a lot
more people there to see thrice. Yah the pits and floor were good for the Deftones but man a lot of people were making
there way to the exits. Maybe IM spoiled after seeing deftones 12 times mostly in small venues. I am not use to people
sitting down, not singing, just not giving a shit! Deftones seem to have there loyal base of fans. And with the kind of kick
ass show the Deftones give these new emo style type of kids don't deserve to be in the same building as the GREATEST
BAND ON THE EARTH!! Keep playing to your base. We were with you in the begging and we will be with you to the end...
