Incredible concert experience. The sound was so pristine, especially during "Cherry Waves", that it sounded as though shards of sonic wetness were traveling through a glass-lined sphere destined for my nerve-eye, and I was overtaken by visions of Communist propaganda posters come to life, mouthing the lyrics.
The best songs from the new album were all played. "Beware" sounded as though a traveling band of bison, armed with Marshall amplifiers, were crashing down on my head like volumes of freezing cold water on a sweltering summer day. "Xerces" was almos too much for me to handle, as the audience was locked into a battle of consiousness and eye-play, attempting to slip effortlessly through the Love Sequence.
During "Hole In The Earth" I saw a woman about seven to eight feet tall, with long hair all over her arms and hands, move through the audience, she was wearing a cloak and began to spin in circles and rose above the crowd. The audience began to mentally make love to her.
Speaking of making love, there was a couple on the balcony, I don't know if anyone saw them, but this dude had his girlfriend bent over the edge of the balcony and was humping her throughout the entire show. This is not a joke. Others can verify this.
Once again, the sound... the SOUND of this show was absolutely drowned in saturated sonic jetfuel and God-defying. Nice work, sound man.
I don't have a set list because this was pretty much the last concert I will ever see.
