BRILLIAN CONCERT SOUND AND EVERYTHING WAS SUPERB,IVE SEEN DEFTONES 6 TIMES AND THINK THIS WAS THE BEST,EVERYTHING WAS ON TIME AND THERE WAS NO DELAYS OR ANYTHING,MANAGED TO CATCH CARPENTER IN THE BULLDOG CAFE IN AMSTERDAM IN THE DAY ASWELL WHICH WAS GOOD. REALLY GOOD SET JUST WANT THEM TO PLAY COMBAT BUT BY LOOKS OF IT IT HASNT BEEN ON ANY OF THERE SETLISTS FROM THE TOUR. CANT WAIT TO SEE EM AGAIN

Although the sound was pretty good and Chino was singing very well, I really didn't enjoy this concert. One factor was the crowd but another was the way they played a lot of songs a bit slower than on the studioalbums. Deftones is a cool heavy band because they also have slow, dramatic songs but I still like the more agressive, faster songs the best (most of the first two cd's, songs like Elite and The Boy's Republic of White Pony, actually the fourth cd also). The ones they did play, were played down tempo wich annoyed me a little bit. This way Deftones becomes quite a over-dramatic act.

In that respect, the concert in Tivoli, Utrecht in june 2006 was a lot more exciting, and more the way I like to see Deftones.

Cool fact of this show. Deftones played in Paradiso, Amsterdam with Will Haven before. It was in January of 1998 and I was there. Almost 10 years ago... Deja Vu!
Will Haven: 3rd time seeing them on this tour was too much. It get's pretty boring and their new singer is not all that. I just dig them so much on records and used to dig them a lot live. Sound was so poor during their show. I could just talk easily with someone standing next to me without yelling.
Deftones: By far the best show of the three shows I've seen on this tour. Chino was on fire. In a good mood, joking, smiling. Everyone was. Sound was awesome... Really good. Chino sang a little part of Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back during Around The Fur. The crowd was stupid. Lot of annoying older dudes with long hair. I know it, I'm old too, but I dig those younger kids way more haha. Chino's tech handed him a joint at the end of the show... good crew, even joints are tuned for them. It was a good tour.
