"Chino finally was able to make it back after his throat problems and he
sounded great. The show started off with Stef coming out and playing the
"Bored" Intro for a really long time, then chi came out and then finally
chino and the crowd went crazy. After a few songs Chino mentioned that the
doctors said he shouldnt sing anymore but he said "F--- it, I'd rather be out
here with you guys, then locked up in some room by myself." Later on while
Chino was singing in the crowd, he took a Richard Nixon mask from someone in
the crowd and sang for part of the song with the mask on, afterwards he said
"I dont know how slipknot doesnt, its so hot" and then he brought the person
on stage who owned the mask and sent him back stage and told him to drink all
their alcohol because there not allowed to drink and chi gave him a beer.
Then right after that someone had thrown their wallet on the stage and chino
brought that person up and was looking through it and found zig-zag papers in
it and asked him what they were for and the guy said pot and chino played
dumb and was like whats that. And they sent that guy back stage too. There
was also a taco someone had thrown on stage and chino offered $20 to anyone
who would eat it, so he pulled someone out of the crowd but he warned him if
the taco is bad he cant sue him if he gets sick from eating it, and chino
told stef he needs to learn "The Price is Right" song because this is like a
game show. But once the person was on stage Chino realized that he had no
money on him and asked to borrow some money, the guy ate the taco but since
chino had no money, he sent him back stage too. The deftones then continued
with their set and finished it with digital bath, then it was time for the
encore which was really cool, they all left but stef stay out and played some
wierd slow stuff on the guitar, then Rodleen came out with rest of the band
and they played knife party, then chino said they had one more with his
friend Max Cavalera and they played Head-Up which was awesome with Max, it
was really cool encore to have two guest singers with them. And at the end I
got a pic from Stef. I was really glad Chino made it back for this show, I
paid $40 for a pit pass to get in front to see them. Chino sounded really
good and was screaming like usually, so I hope he continues to get better
doesnt have to cancel anymore shows. This was the 3rd time I've seen the
deftones and they've put on a different and great show each time. I cant wait
to see them again.

i know it's sad but this was my first deftones concert, so i went all out, me
n my brother got front row seats(which later turned into pit) and i dyed my
hair with 3 blonde stripes. we were scared cuz of chino's throat problems
but when we were in line waiting to get in, we heard deftones doing their
soundcheck so that kinda put us at ease. puddle of mudd came out but
absolutely nobody seemed to give a shit that they were on even the singer
noticed how unenthusiastic the crowd was by saying "phoenix you guys really
fuckin rock". after they got off the stage me n my brother got up to get our
spot as close to the stage as we could. all of a sudden the lights dimmed
and stefen walked out and the crowd went nuts. then chi and abe followed.
stef started playing the opening to bored and then chino came out and the
place fuckin exploded. in the middle of the first verse he came down to sing
on the fence and gave me n my brother high fives. then he busted into the
gorillaz "clint eastwood". then they played my own summer and after that i
totally lost touch with reality so i dont remember the set list but i know

in the middle of their set people were throwin just about everything you
could think of on stage some dude threw his ninga turtles wallet, somebody
else threw a jack in the box taco.shit was crazy. when chino was singin in
the crowd he grabbed this dude's richard nixo mask and sang with it on stage.
i know i really dont have a frame of reference but the whole show was fuckin
awesome. im def-initely gonna seen them again next chance i get.
