Lets start off by saying this was an incredible show. The Deftones seemed to be in good spirits at the beginning of the show. But as the show went on the crowd began to be assholes. And well, its probably why we got the Non- 7Words/SPLIT ENCORE... It would have been cooler for a longer set. But im sure these guys are tired, being the 2nd last show of the tour. But as i said they put on a great show. It was cool that they played No Ordinary Love, Chino had a great time during this song. As the rest of the band played it for Steph becuase "He's always High" as they claimed. Ha.. This was the setlist.... Feiticeira My Own Summer Nosebleed Beware the Water Hexagram Rx Queen (with S.D.C) No Ordinary Love (with S.D.C) Digital Bath Bloody Cape Around the Fur Change 7 Words Matt. ------------------------------------------------------------ Man was I disappointed. Let me first say, I'm a fucking huge deftones fan. I have posters, shirts, hoodies, pins, hats and all the cd's. I've liked them for around 7 years and the other time they came before but they cancelled. The show they put on today was verrryyyyy sloppy. He didn't even sing half the lyrics. And he looked realll pissed the whole time. he smiled like once or twice during "no ordinary love". Anyway, I still liked it, it just wasen't nearly as good as I thought it would be. The set list went as follows Feiticeira My own summer nosebleed Beware the water RX Queen No ordinary love Hexagram Bloody cape Digital bath Change Around the fur 7 words I saw the reviews for the other shows and the last song he mixed it up but he didn't this show. We screamed for an encore but they ignored us. - Sam Porghavami, Ottawa ------------------------------------------------------------ Well I arrived pretty late at the Taste Of GAYos Tour, 'cause I didn't want to watch all the shitty emo crap before Deftones. I arrived during Thrice, and I was surprised to see that half the arena was empty... The crowd seemed to be pretty much 90% of emo kids 17 and under... there was blood in the toilets, proving that these little emo fags practiced their karate lessons during Atreyu earlier. Anyways, Street Drum Corps was pretty cool. When Deftones came on stage, I didn't see a single person around me that was singing or at least seemed to know the songs, except when they played My Own Summer and Change. It felt really weird, it was total silence between songs, I had never witnessed anything like that before, and I felt bad for Deftones. The people that were really there for Deftones were the minority and eveybody else pretty much stayed there just out of curiosity. The pit was pretty cool though, but I felt sick that night so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I usually do. Chino seemed a bit pissed off, and also he had some guitar problems and even threw it in the middle of Digital Bath. Plus, he didn't come down near the rail like he seems to do pretty much at every show I guess. They didn't do the 7 Words medley and they got off stage with a rather quick wave and that was it. I wasn't pissed off at them, I knew it was the crowd's fault. I was disapointed that not many Deftones fans showed up. After the show, I tried to meet them near the buses, but security didn't let anyone near, so it didn't work out. Setlist: Feiticeira My Own Summer Nosebleed Beware The Water Hexagram Rx Queen (with Street Drum Corps) No Ordinary Love (with Street Drum Corps) Digital Bath Bloody Cape Around the Fur Change 7 Words Freak from Montebello, QC
