Deftones - Dos Amigos - Odessa, TX, USA, October 7th, 2004
Deftones played at "Dos Amigos" in Odessa Tx on oct. 7. Show kicked ass!!!
Chino kicked things off with hexagram, and was all over the crowd from the start.
He even took a pause to get the crowd to help this chick that fell.
They played alot of shit from all their albums, but i dont have the set list.
I know they played hexagram, my own summer, nosebleed, damone, if only tonight
we could sleep, 7 words, drive, lotion, knife party, digital bath, engine #9 ect.....
All around kick ass show. I was surprised to see Abe with long hair too...looked funny.
After being a ling time fan, it was great to finally see them live -
it was everything i dreamed it would be ;)

Fucking Amazing!!!!!, Those were the only two words that I could think about saying
after seeing two deftones shows back-2-back. The first show was in Odessa, Tx.I grew
up 30 miles south of Odessa and when I heard that they were playing there I had to go.
I drove 600 miles from college just to see them play at this run down bar becuase they
had never played there. The show was intense, I was right at the front the whole time.
It was hella hard trying not to get crushed to death. The deftones came out and opened
up with Hexagram. I had some really good pictures of chino and the band but my camera
got knocked out of my hand and trampled on. They played alot of songs off of adrenaline,
including engine #9, 7 words, and minus blindfold(some of my favorites). No new stuff
though. At one point chino grabed a blunt from the guy standing next to me and took some
puffs off of it. The band looked like they were having a great time until someone threw
a beer bottle at chino. That was just really FUCKED UP, and I hope whoever that was got
what they deserved. After that chino didnt come down to the railing anymore. The show
went one and everything was kool after that. It was a great show and I'm so glad that
they finally came to Odessa to play a show. My best friend got punched in the eye and
had a FAT black eye.(sorry i just had to add that little part in, HAHA dustin)

This is my first time seeing the Deftones in concert and i had a blast. it was everything
that i imagined. I traveled all the way from Trade school in Roswell, Nm to San Angelo, Tx
in between i missed my transfer in Lubbock, TX, so i had to wait a rediculous 8 Hr. till
i could catch the next bus i Finally arrived in San Angelo, Tx at noon the next day. I am
Originally from Alpine,Texas which is about two hours from Odessa. As soon as i got home
ini San Angelo i got ready for the biggest event of my life! i left from my house around
1 till 6pm. i was running late cause my ride was Lazy and lost track of the damn time.
On the road, i was so nervous that it was gonna be sold out when i got there. as soon as
we got into Odessa, my ride had forgotten where exactlly the Cantina was. i only looked
up once and and i knew that it was by the collisium. so we stopped at a 7-11 and we asked
for directions. i was glad that i got directions to the place but they werent so specific
so when i finally reacjed the point that i thought i was close, we stopped at another gas
station and i got out of the ca and asked this biker who i could of sworn i saw there at
the concert. I hopped back in the car and i to them it was down the road from where we
were from. As we arived at the bar the, ive got to admit te line was longer than my package,
LOL. anyhow my ride had to go meet up with her family in town so i ended up bu meyself
at the show. i got off the car and suprisingly the line was moving pretty fast so i didnt
have to wait to long to get in, but whil i was waiting i meet some fellow died hard fans
like me. they were locals and we had some crazy ass conversation about past concerts.
Well i finally made it inside and iwas suprised to see that not many people were standing
in front of the stage so i squezzed in and got as close as i could, soon after i saw the
stage crew getting getting up rigs and pedal boards, that make the baddest band what
they are. Next thing you know some gay ass dj of a local station as well as some hot
chick who i thought was Chi's Wife. but i thought different and i dont think it was.
well the firs to hit the stage was the strings(Stef) then chi, abe, frank, then the
man him self Chino Moreno. "And he crowd goes wild"(Hexagram) we seriously did and i
was so pumped that my ADRENALINE was running throught my blood and he didnt even start
to play yet. I was going nuts. well as i suspected i here stef checking his effects
and started with one of my favorites, hexagram. i thanked God that i finnaly got to see
them. Well as the concert went by i enjoyed every damn minute that i was in there
presence. later on in the night see people moshing so iturn around to avoid be kicked
or pushed and what not. I see thi Ass hole taking out girls likie if they were guys,
i mean if the chiks were in the obviously they knew what they had coming, but not what
this stankass mutha was doing. these girls were getting clobberd with elbows and
head-butts, isaw the girls complaining he was to damn ruff and they were crying as well,
well being the care-bear tha i am i picked up the 2 girls from the floor and told them to
watch me closely. First asked around for his name and i guess it was his girlfriend
was the one that told me that fuct-faces' name. so i called him by his name and bul
rushed his ass in to the damn ground. i cleaned his damn clock. i think i gave him a
slight concusion, and as soon as i laid him out i picked him up and too k him to the
side and toold him it was fucked up for him to be so damn ruff with the chiks, and he
said:" Thanx for keeping me in check" i was like "no problem", so as soon as i squezzed
back o my spot the girls were like u shouldn of done that but thanked me any ways and
said i was kool of me wathing out for them so after that she made out with me and we took
a picture together as Change(In The Houe Of Flies) Played. after taht she gave me her
number and took of with her friend, did i mention tha she was hotter than a Jalepeno in
ur Eye. man she was smoking. after that i only saw her once and that was to tell me
bye and to write down her number which she tried giving to me earlier, but i didn t
have access to a pen an a piece of paper, after that she gave me another unforging kiss
that has been stuck in my mind all the time since i got back her in San Angelo. But Bak
to the concert, after the had finished plaing around the fur some stupid ass drunk trew
a beer bottle at Chino, chino Paused for a second and gave everybody this hard ass stare,
i was damn thats new. but then as they started a song of around thar fur he said "i dont
curse at ignorant people" or somthing of that nature. but as the night went by i sang
untill i thought my voice box was gonna pop out of my nose, soon after my stomach started
to hurt but i said fuck it and i sang some more and jumped like a maniac. but all and all
i saw them and i was so damned siked.
