Taste of Choas Tour - Norfolk, VA March 1, 2006
Every band pretty much sounded the same to me except for a few ( Atreyu, Thrice, and
Story of the Year). Deftones of course closed the bitch down and the crowd was nuts.
I think everyone was pretty much in a mosh pitt, even the ladies. When they played
RX Queen and Change, they had the guys from Street Drum Corps. bust out their little
trash can drums and jam with them. That was pretty cool. Crowd favorite was probably
Head Up or Nosebleed. My personal favorite was Hexagram when Chino came down to
the crowd and screamed with everyone. There were times in a few songs where Chino didn't
even bother wasting his breath because the crowd was screaming the lyrics so loudly you
probably wouldnt even be able to hear Chino anyways. Abe cut all his hair off and was tight
as shit as usual. Chi looked like the Undertaker with his long ass hair and hairy ass Stef
stood there playing like a badass. Someone said Chino looked fat as hell when they saw
him, but to me he just looked healthy.
Same ole' Chino. They didn't play any new stuff which was a let down, but oh well, just builds
the anticipation even more for their next album to come out.
Ok, thats about it, heres what songs I remember them playing (no particular
order):
Feitcera
My Own Summer
Nosebleed
Head Up
Change
Rx Queen
Hexagram
Bloody Cape
Be Quiet and Drive
Around the Fur
Bored ( i think they played this)
7 Words/ Birthmark / 7 Words
- All in all, Deftones may not be the biggest band in the world, but they're the baddest band in the world...know that!
