I went to the last venue of the Taste of Chaos tour yesterday.. MONTREAL! And, let me tell you, it was amazing. The only band I really wanted to see was Deftones but I enjoyed the whole show, especially Thrice and Atreyu. It was the second time I saw the Deftones live (the first time was back in 2003 still in Montreal) and I was impressed by the performance they gave us. Chino was really into it, his voice sounded great and he seemed to have a lot of fun on stage, always smiling and telling the crowd to go nuts (which they did). The rest of the band was also sharp and everybody rocked! Here is the song they played, there are some in order but the songs in the middle of the list are totally at random: - Feiticeira - Nosebleed - Beware the Water - Hexagram - Bloody Cape - No Ordinary Love (ft. Street Drum Corps) - RX Queen (ft. Street Drum Corps) - My Own Summer - Change - Around the Fur - 7 words/One Weak/Root/Engine #9/Wicked/7 Words Even though, it was certainly one of the best show I've seen in my life, I was disappointed that they did not come back for an encore. The crowd was really yelling after 7 words and I thought that because of that and because it was the last venue of the tour, they would come back. and play Bored and Headup! But anyway, it was still an excellent performance! Peace. PL ------------------------ Well we arrived earlier than the night before, but walked around town instead of going inside early and having to deal with the emo pollution... When we walked in, it was Thrice. Judging by the shirts of people, there seemed to be a lot more Deftones fans than last night. When they took the stage, it really felt like their crowd was actually there, as opposed to Ottawa. They played the 7 Words medley, as well as Be Quiet And Drive instead of Digital Bath. Plus, Chino came down near the rail during Hexagram. The pit was great and I felt better than the night before. It was awesome to finally feel that I was in a decent crowd lol, and the band seemed to appreciate it a lot too. After the show, we found a way to sneak backstage and we waited near the dressing room of Deftones. Chino first came out and was really nice, signed my cd's, got a picture with him. He said he was a little sick these days; I asked him if the rumors were true that they will tour with KoRn, and he said yes! Later, Frank came out and was also really nice, signed my cd's, got a picture with him, and he agreed that the show in Ottawa was pretty weird. Then Abe came out and he was super nice too, really talkative, signed my cd's and I got a picture with him too. He said that they have booked a Canadian tour that will hit every major city in Canada, he told me the number of shows, but I don't remember, and I forgot to ask him when it will be. He also said that he doesn't think that the tour with KoRn will come to Canada... so I guess I'll have to travel. He said the other guys weren't in the dressing room, and it was late and we didn't want to start to search for Steph and Chi, so I guess that will be for next time. Setlist: Feiticeira My Own Summer Nosebleed Beware The Water Hexagram No Ordinary Love (with Street Drum Corps) Rx Queen (with Street Drum Corps) Be Quiet And Drive Bloody Cape Around the Fur Change 7 Words/Birthmark/Root/Engine#9/One Weak/7 Words Freak from Montebello, QC
