@The Rave - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
I was here to see dredg, thrice, and the tones. dredg was great as expected, it was my first
time for thrice, i love the band, and wow they wowed me. i'll go see them again and again.
tones came on. opened with fiet, into my own summer where stef's guitar proceeded to short
on him through the whole song. after about 4 different times picking it up from where he fell out,
they moved on. i wasn't happy with the set, i understand the time is much shorter, but well...
it was my least favorite deftones show. ahh well i love em.

i could write about this show forever it was my lucky 7...it was the greatest thing that could have
happend to me after the bullshit i had to go through to get there...the fans however were just
standing there (i was front row) like they had no idea what was going on, of course when they finally
played change people started to scream (at least the people still there)
i was also at the st paul show the next night...this is why everyone should see more than one show
on a tour...Deftones sets are STILL unpredictible

during it all...let talked while steff tryed to pull it together...."we aint playing no more fucking songs

they then did the revenge of the nerds rap that chino did on the team sleep tour....however i thought is
was much tighter with just chi and abe
10 mins later and emo fuckers booing steff finally came out and said he was ready....chino ran around
talking to the guys with a big grin on his face....i had a feeling we were in for something special

after nosebleed (i think) he ran by his monitor and was like "should i break another mic" without giving
anyone time to respond he threw it to his monitor they were asking for requests from our "new record"
Chino-some crowd interaction but not as much as one would think considering he only played the guitar
on change i dont remeber what they all talked about but they horsed around alot in good spirits...
yes they seemed to be a little drunk but not bad really
they music was tight, and chino's voice sounded as good as it ever has (and he used minimal equipment aide)...
after the show chi ran up to steff and chino and put his arms around them with a big smile like

Fisrt off let me just say i came from Indiana TO SEE THE DEFTONES,YET ONCE MORE !!Inever been to
the Rave before and let me tell you all that is a place to see a show,even better if it's a DEFTONES show!!!
They hit the stage at 9 50 as plane and started to play as plane.They kicked everyone's ass with FEITICEIRA,
and that's when it happend,Stephen guitar took a shit while trying to play My Own Summer.The tones left the
stage for what seem like a life time but ,guess what they came back out and that's when it happend,THEY
PLAYED THE GREATEST SET LIST EVER!!!! When i type this i'm not kidding in any kind of way ,MAN THEY
PLAYED THE WHOLE FUCKING ADRENALINE ALBUM!!! The whole thing they mixed some of the songs up
but they did play Minus Blindfold and One Weak back to back. Shit no lie when they did 7 words i thought it
was thank you all and good night, N O P E - CHINO- the coolest motherfucker on the face of the earth,GET'S
IN THE CROWD and does Lifter (nice) the last song they did was the last song on the cd Fireal which is one of t
he best ones i think ,but i love em all,O yeah there not done yet they play more, o yes i said more.Don't know if
you fucker's like that song TEETHING yet one of the most kick ass DEFTONES song there is THEY played that
CHANGE ( house of the flies).My buddy got some really sick pic of Chino going ape shit's during Engine No. 9
that song i might add kick asss people ( yeah ) Well my fellow DEFTONES fans hoped you like what i hade to say
there is so so much more say but hey you know and i know the DEFTONES are the biggest band and the most
bad ass band in the world!!!

deftones history was made on saturday night at the milwaukee stop on the taste of chaos tour. i only saw a
little of as i lay dying and thrice, but deftones were amazing. they started out great and in the second song,
steph's guitar kept cutting out. after that was fixed, the show got even better. the deftones played EVERY
song off adrenaline and played them like they were new. at one point chino even joked around saying "we have
a new album coming out tuesday call adrenaline". this sort of thing never happens with bands. the deftones have
a fifth album coming out hopefully this summer, yet they chose to play every song off of their first album from almost
15 years ago. i have a lot of respect for what took place that night.
