DEFTONES LIVE @ ST. LOUIS , AUGUST 10th 2001
The St. louis show last night fucking rocked. Didn't know the Deftones were
gonna play so early though. We had just sat down, and then we saw the
backdrop light up with deftones illuminating from it. Then fucking the intro
to root came on and i went FUCKING CRAZY. i was afraid since the show was at
a big ampitheatre, and not a small up close that it wouldn't have the same
effect on me. But it was just as good, if not better.Chino did a lot of
jumping around during the show, reminded me of early deftones. The songs they
played (can't remember the order) were Root, my own summer, feitieciera,
bqad, korea, change, one weak, digital bath, bored with the gorillaz clint
eastwood during the bridge, around the fur, and seven words with say it aint
so. It was cool cuz during the speak fast you don't know me. it was dead
silent, and i screamed out SAY IT AIN"T SO, and chino says, i hear you man.
Then kicked right into it. Then for an encore head up. There is something
about the deftones thats so amazing, and so fucking awesome. Its not like any
concert I've been to in my entire life. After deftones, Godsmack was set to
hit the stage, and all the fat guys with mullets were excited. We stayed for
a few minutes, but once we saw there gay ass cartoon intro we decided to
leave. Its a disgrace having godsmack close the show over deftones. Thank
you deftones for a fucking amazing show. Take notes gaysmack.
