First Live Deftones Show I have seen and I was not at all dissapointed. They blew the shit out of Jacksonville. I got a chance to watch a DVD of the 'Tones in Hawaii and was a little dissapointed in the audio so I did not know what the live sound would be like. It sounded as close to CD quality as you can get with songs like they pounded out. They opened with Feiticeira and when I heard it, I knew that the show was going to kick ass. They played all of the favorites - Change, Digital Bath, Be Quiet and Drive, My Own Summer, One Weak, 7 Words, RX Queen, Hexagram, Bloody Cape, Around the Fur to name a few. The only song that I truly missed was Bored. I tried my damndest to get right up to Atlanta to see them on the 28th but work would not allow it. I will see them again. I was very glad that they did not stray too much from the original sound of most of their songs although some changes to the songs were a nice touch. I could never put into words the way I felt when they came out on stage. Life long Deftones fan ever since Adrenaline my junior year in high school but I never made it to a show. Experience of a lifetime. Chino is quite the showman with amusing chit chat with the crowd during breaks and his vocals were off the charts. I will never forget that show!!!! As far as the other bands on TOC, all were entertaining but Story of the Year and Thrice were the better of the bands. Nothing compared to the Deftones but good sets none the less. I look forward to seeing them again and recommend anyone close to the remaining stops get a ticket and rock out!!!! J-Dub Leesburg GA
