Deftones played a show at the Yedikule Zindanlari (known as a historical location of the former Ottoman Empire)
in Istanbu, Turkey on 24 June 2006. Turkih bands Loverdrive, Gabriel, Dorian, and Cilekes along with Katatonia
accompanied Deftones prior to the show. Personally, Katatonia was not a good choice for this concert.
For many Deftones fans, this was not an opportunity to be missed. They played one of their best shows ever,
based on some of the footage that exists on the internet, and contrary to many who say that Chino can't sing
well live. The show started with "Passenger" (shocking every one) and ended with "7 Words" and Deftones
stayed on the stage for almost one and a half hours. Chino jumped down the stage as he always does, and sang
"Hexagram" along with the audience, who were desperately trying to touch him.
The sound system sucked during the first two bands, while it was much better during Dorian and Cilekes.
There was a considerable amount of crowd waiting for Katatonia but of course most of the people were waiting
for the Deftones, who were playing in Turkey for the first time.
The setlist was amazing, with all of their best songs including "bored", "my own summer", "lotion", :headup",
and etc...The only sad part of the concert was Deftones didn't include great songs such as "knife party",
"back to school" and "digital bath" in the mix. However, the rest of the songs more than made it up for the missing ones.
All in all Deftones played an incredible show with all the members of the band giving 110 percent.
It was a feast for the eyes and ears of the Turkish audience.
We are waiting desperately until Deftones hits these shores once again.

24.06.06.Yes.The big day was finally come.This was the first time Deftones in Turkey.
Me and my girlfriend went to show together in Yedikule Zindanlarý Concert Arena-Istanbul.
It was kind a Rock Festival from Tuborg included some Turkish nu-metal bands and a metal
band called Katatonia(not a good choice for Deftones show)
Deftones came to stage at 22.30.First Stef came than Chi came and said:"Merhaba Istanbul"
(Hello Istanbul).Everyone was acting like a mad when they show band members.
Chino came to the front with dancing slowly with all his fats:)he looks really cool.
By the time "Passenger" started.We all shocked cause other setlists mostly had no Passenger in it.
They were all very energic.Played like mad over 2 hours...
Setlist was really great and long...Here is the setlist.(not in ordinary mostly)

I don't really remember but they also played short part of "Dai The Flu"..
Only miss was "Digital Bath" and "Knife Party" sadly...Hope it next time.
Concert area is not good and sound system sadly.Audience was so childish(14-18 years era mostly).
But we all liked Deftones.
