I wanna start off by giving Nuno Rolinho all the props in the world for keepin
up with all this. Thanks to him and deftones world . com, we can all share which
band we love the most....The Deftones.........
I called my friends Johnny, Puccio, and Miguel @ 10:00 A.M. and they were already
in line!! I had to wait for my cousin Haskel to get out of school and then immediately
rushed to Verizon. There we meet up and decided to go around back were the tour buses
were. We patiently waited and to our amazement we saw Chino riding his bike.
No autographs or pictures thanks to an Ernest scared stupid looking guy. Haskel,
Miguel, Nacho, and I waited while everyone else left. Man was it worth the wait b/c
Chino had to get something from the bus and when he came out he signed my shirt,
Adrenaline c.d., ticket and even took pic's with us. it was tyte. I asked him if they
were going to play a lot of Adrenaline and he was like yeah. Then i was bold enough to
ask if they could do Minus Blindfold and he goes, yeah, we'll hit that. After that i
couldn't wait to see if they would play it. Shortly after we went back and Puccio and I
were the first two fans in. We took center stage and the rest of our friends crowded us.
We owned center stage. Denali went on stage, little too melodic, then Poison the Well who
were alrite. Then atlas it was time for the D-Tones. The crowd gave a big ass push forward,
put us unlike other pathetic fans we were'nt going to be denied front row. We had this
toothless joe next to us talking mad shit about pushing us back but we held our ground.
Chino came out with a dope ass guitar w/Aztec warrior on it. They did Minerva and just
blazed throughout the show. The D-Tones got everyone fucking hype for my own summer and
then Chino came down to the crowd(center) I got to help hold him up and Johnny was right
under him. It was surreal. Chino also came down for Lotion in which my cousin Haskel was
right under him. And he did Hexagram in the far corner. They then played Chauffeur. Only
my homies and I and about 10 other people(no joke) sang with Chino. They also did mascara
which was bad ass and they did MX which was krunk! As i knew they would, cuz Chino told me,
Steph started the riffs for Minus Blindfold!! Chino climbed a speaker and i went all out..
I honestly couldn't believe it! I'm not saying Chino played b/c of me but man what a fucking
coincidence!!! They did a couple of more songs and encored with Change..
All in all the best fucking show i have ever been to in my life, and i've been to
some good ones(Glassjaw, Thursday, Incubus).

November 5, 2003 was the night for the Deftones to rock the Verizon Wireless Theater
in Houston, Texas! As soon as I got in line, I was pumped, because this was my first
Deftones concert and I was ready to rock. So anyways, the first band to play was Denali.
They didn't do to bad, they were alright. Then Poison the Well came on and they got the
crowd goin, that shit was crazy. As soon as they left the stage the crowd fought to get
close to the stage, because we all knew the DEFTONES were comin on next. After waiting for
like 20 mins. they finally came out, and they kicked things off with Minerva!! The crowd
went wild. Chino looked so badass and the way he screamed was so badass. I am so proud I
got to be so close. Things started getting really crazy, I got knocked to the floor but
got back up and joined the crowd fightin to get closer to Chino. Chino even sang a bit of
50 cent's " In da Club" song, it was cool. He also sang the Gorillaz's " Clint Eastwood
song. And when they played Knife Prty all hell broke loose. I wasn't expecting it but they
played alot from white pony. This concert was so badass, and Stephen was smoking (I wonder
what?)on the stage. But overall this concert was so cool it was the place to be if you were
in Houston, Texas.

the show was fucking amazing. deftones are still the greatest band, and prove it on stage.
denali was up first, you decide when you see them.
poison the well is fucking good live.
deftones played an awesome set, and i got right up to the front so my pictures will be awesome,
and i will send those in asap. they opened with minerva like most. they played knife party,
which hasnt been played at any show yet, and is beautiful live. they also played lotion,
which no one has heard on this tour according to chino. and the last one, is minus blindfold.
they played 3 songs that have been "rare" on this current tour. but it was amazing.
Chino got on a side speaker for minus blindfold, and sang the whole thing suspended above
the crowd. i moved to that side and got a picture of it. and he sang my own summer right on
the floor, about a foot from me and my friends.

Jesus, where do I begin. Who da fuck is Denali, I walk in there to some strange sound...
women like...turns out to be a women on the mic with a guitar??? OK...didnt enjoy them Poison
the well was amazing, they sang about 5 songs...fucken awesome...The crOWd went INsANE,
everyone was moshing....DEftones....enough said...they went through like 20 songs...it was
alot .Of course there gonna kick ass...I got my asked kicked in the crowd...Literally, I was
being smashed my these tall big ass mutherfuckers, im just 5'3"...I survived I came outta the
crowd soaked..eww...We waited like for 2 1/2 hours too get their autographs. Hella worth it...
Steph was like totally looking wasted...haha it was funny...Abe was awesome communicating with
da crowd...Cool Cool guy...Can I marry him!??! HEHE....Then CHINO...whoa!! Awesome he was just
chillin...some chick gave him a bottle of El Presidente (liquor) he never even heard of it...
The I asked if he was serious and he headed my way...I was in shock..I told him it was probably
just a Texas thing...i believe its made in mexico...He then mentioned it probably be something
his uncle would drink..hah...he asked how do we drink it...mix it with coke...blah blah...he was
cool. I love chino...I wanna marry him instead...haha..Overall badass show...It's been forever
since there headlined their own show here in houston, I think the last time was in 2001 or late
2002. They sang a mix of old and new shit...Fucken Awesome
Can't wait till they hit Texas again.

well i must say once more the deftones proved exactly why they are the best band in the world.
WEll the ticket said it started at 8 but denali came on at like 745 and they werent really in
place for this show but i did enjoy them. at around 830 poison the well came on and i cant
fuckin stand this band, they just suck. but anyways at around 920 the lights went off and
all hell broke loose, they came out and u could see stefs silouette and chino was playing a
long guitar intro to minerva and then it went nuts when the sond started. the set was intense
with a lot of songs i didnte really expect them to play. They playted The Chauffer and it was
just fuckin amazing, beautifull like words could not describe it. they also played knife party
and minus blindfold. it was just an awesome set tho. heres what i can remember in a kind of
sort of order.

You this was my third time to check out chino and the deftones and it was fucking great!
me and my girl moved all the way to the rail up front and center, and waited for the tones.
shit the fucking crowd was wild so much fucking pushing and shit but it was all worth it whne
chino came out and rocked i didnt feel a thing. they ripped through their set and i fucking
felt it all. when chino came down to the rail he stepped on my girls hand but she didnt mind
at all, and it was well worth it cause chinos bodyguard gave her chinos pick that he used
during the show with his scratches on it. i fucking held onto chino the entire time! when
they played the chauffeur nobody fucking knew the lyrics just a couple of hardcore fans like
myself. overall the concert was perfect . afterward we waited out back for the deftones to
come out and it took for ever but worth it. first steff came out and he signed my ticket and a
pick that i got during the show , it already had steff printed on it so i asked him to put
the pentagram(star) on it and he did he was cool and talked to my girl . then abe came out
and talked to everyone he met and he signed my tikcet too. i cant remember if frank or chino
came out next but i know frank signed mine next and shook my hand. Then chino came by and
signed my ticket he was cool as shit and my girl gave him a bottle of PRESIDENTE and the
pick to sign and he was amazed to see his used pick that she had and he signed it ,
she told him that he had stepped on her hand and he said sorry and asked if we had poisined
the bottle and said it looks like some shit your unkle would drink , i told him too drink it
straight . he was cool as shit , i cant wait til the deftones come back again.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! THE DEFTONES ARE GODS!!!
I wanna go up to the people that say they suck live and punch them in the face. Deftones
put on a killer show and had the crowd going the whole time. It was AWESOME!!
My friend Robyn and I left, Huntsville, where we go to S.H.S.U.(who cares), at around 5 and
went to the mall in the Woodlands. I bought Deftones live in hawaii and Robyn bought about
$300 in hot topic clothes(Hottopic rocks), after that it was off to the deftones. We were
getting mad at traffic cause it was holding us up so much, but we finally made it in to houston,
where we got lost looking for the parking garage and the verison ( fun stuff).
Finally we got to the verison and Denali was on. They sounded good, but the music was something
you would chill to, nothing that you could really mosh to. P.T.W. came on and they put on a
pretty good show, I didnt really know too much about them but seeing them live made me a fan.
Im going to have to check some more of their stuff out. Then it was time for the DEFTONES!!!!!!.
They came out and I wanted to piss in my pants cause I so excited. Minerva was the the first
song and they blew everyone away. From then on the place was maddness. Mosh pits and crowd
surfing everywhere. It was the greatest experiance to be surrounded by moshing and singing
hard core deftones fans like myself. Me and Robyn were on the side with Chi and it was great
seeing him playing the bass parts to all the songs that I try to learn. Abe and Frank were
going off on the drums and turntables. And Stef was smoking a "j" (hell yea)and banging his
head. Chino was singing his heart out and I was singing right along with him. I've been
waiting for half my life to see them live and now that I have I just wanna see them again even more.
This was my first show and It will remain the best show I have ever gone to. That night I
couldnt ask for more. I had a beautiful girl by my side, I was surrounded by people like me,
and The greatest band in the world was on stage fucking going off. LONG LIVE THE DEFTONES!!!!

Alright so this was the first time for me to see the deftones. And let me tell you it
had to be the best show ive seen for a while.Denali was pretty cool actually the lead
singer has a really melodic voice. Poison the well kinda sucked they played a 30 min set
which got pretty crazy but nothig compares to what chino and the tones brought that night.
First they started things off with minerva then every thing went crazy, after minerva they
went into some around the fur. They played my own summer,lotion, around t fur, Mx(which
rocked the house).Then into some white pony,digital bath, fieticeria,knife party.Nothing
compares to the show, at one point in the show, I went crowd surfing and at the ssame time
chino was in the crowd. When I made my way up to his direction I shook his hand and then the
fucking security dropped my ass. But oh well it It was worth it. Any ways me and my friends
stayed late after the show to meet the guys and. It turned out that chino had stepped on my
boy's girlfirends hand during the show. So when chino came out she was like hey you stepped
on my hand. Then chino apolligized and it was cool. Any ways, after thAT she gave chino a
bottle of el presidente. ANd he was in awe as to what it was. He thought it was something our
uncle would drink.But we said drunk it with some coke and youll be cool. so that was cool.
I think he took our advice or share it with steph... either way they roked the show rocked
and I cant wait till they hit up texas again.
