This show kicked so much ass. The Deftones' performance on thursday was unbelievable, chino's
vocals were perfect, the crowd were going nuts and the set list was fucking awesome. The highlights
of the show for me were Headup (my favourite deftones song- the pit was insane during this), Minus Blindfold,
the Sade and Cure covers and Can't Even Breath was a very nice suprise. (Can i just say that standing behind
someone with dreadlocks in the pit is NOT a good idea, they taste like shit)
I hope someone got a photo of Chino wearing the mask from the movie Halloween during bored because it looked sweet.
Me and my girlfriend also met Chino, Che and Steph after the show outside all of whom were more than happy
to chat with everyone, kiss girls, take photos etc. Oh and Chino isn't fat at all. Also, I asked Che when the new
album was coming out and he said to me "October 3rd, I promise!", so there you go.

Deftones, Carling Academy, glasgow, June 8th
The clock strikes nine and the Deftones emerge - complete with a replenished hunger - from the wilderness
of three trying but ultimately galvanising years of side-projects and fights with Pink Floyd producers.
Punctuating every other song with the sinister tone of a Vincent Price-like cackle, the marvel of Chino Moreno's
voice is ever the weapon in itself; channelled with an astonishing range, clarity and cathartic emotional texture.
The backdrop woven for the vocals is one of equally intimidating pathos; if the hypnotic groove of Be Quiet and Drive
was to soundtrack a meteor voyage through space then the bridge to When Girls Telephone Boys is the
apocalyptic sonic boom as it ruptures the atmosphere bound for the earth's core. "Always the same old taste,
just new injury" Moreno yowls, the earlier unveiling of Beware The Water lays testament to this lyrical mantra and
signals the next step in the evolution of one of metal's few remaining untainted captains.

Just back from seeing deftones in Glasgow and what a show it was.. They are on great form.
The only problem during the full hour and a half set was with stephs guitar in the first two songs
(couldn't really make it out because of the levels, even the band missed the first kick in to Korea
so he played the intro twice).
The band were really enjoying it, chino kept on doing this laugh echo thing throughout the set..
He also sang bored wearing a Mike Myers mask that someone through up on stage which was cool.
The set was fantastic, some really rare stuff including knife party (yes they played it!!),
No ordinary love and can't even breathe, even played the new song. Seen them five times and this
was one of the best if not the best.
Off to download now to see them tomorrow, hopefully with Maynard or max on stage
