YOURS TRULY deftones11779@verizon.net ------------------------------------ Well, seeing as that it was about 4 day's ago, I'll do my best to at least tell you a little. I've been a fan for over 10 years now, I've seen them countless times, in countless different places. Saturday in Detroit, they seemed like they were having a good time. Chino was chattery a little, very active ( even if he is kinda thick ) but hell, think of how old they are getting ya know........I'm not the same size I was at 23-24 either. But to sum it up, I've seen them play better, and I've seen them play worse, so I was happy with what they brought. RX Queen with the SDC was pretty amazing, worth the ticket alone. They played the new song, and when they were done you could tell that they had thought it went well too. They looked around at each other for a minute to almost seem as if they were like "Whoa, that was fucking dope" kinda look on their faces. Then they played another new song ( maybe a cover ) but I know for a fact, I was absolutely clueless to what it was they were playing. It was fast, kinda punk in a way..... I don't know. Here's what I remember of the setlist ( in some order ) Feiticeria Summer nosebleed (new song ) "beware of the water".. BQAD Minerva RX queen Around the Fur ( another new song, maybe cover ) Change Bloody Cape Hexagram 7 Words -minus blindfold- -engine #9- -birthmark- 7 words I was happy as far as the setlist. It seemed to have been a little longer than other cities. Thrice deserves a honorable mention as well. I enjoyed seeing them play, they sounded good as well. The new song the tones played has been sticking in my head, I'm very eager to hear what the new album sounds like. Take care people, Michael Jernigan ----------------------------------- Last night was one crazy night. Me and my Bro arrived at the concert at UIC pavillion at 8:15.. As we got there Story of the Year was playing "Until the Day I die" and after that was the last song. We went straight to the crowd and we were waiting for Thrice to play and they did ok, they mostly played from the new album which wasn't all that good. During the last song of Thrice it was "Deadbolt" the whole crowd got crazy and mosh and body surfed. Some dude was bodysurfing and he ended up elbowing me on the freaking lip and I shaked it off, no big deal. So once Thrice finished we got closer to check out Deftones from a better view, which was 7 feet away from the fence and soon as they came out the WHOLE crowd got wild and the pushing started. Everyone was pushing towards the fence including myself so we can end up getting closer. Chino took a drink from his bottle of water and ended up spitting it at the crowd including myself, I felt all that that water and spit on my face.. LOL. By the end of the show the crowd wanted an Encore which we didn't get and I went home all soaked from my sweat. Goodtimes. Deftones Set List 1. Feiticeira 2. My OwnSummer 3. Be Quiet and Drive 4. Nosebleed 5. Bloddy Cape 6. New Song 7. Rx Queen 8. Around The Fur 9. Hexagram 10. Change 11. 7 Words pt1 12. Birthmark 14. 7 Words pt2 Peace, Miguel
