I think the setlist was in that order...or close. The
show was excellent. Frank was playing some movie
quotes before Mascara and Korea. I don't know what
movie though. During Digital Bath Chinos' guitar
wasn't working, some guy came out thought he fixed
it...still nothing. So, Chino takes it off and throws
it head first in the direction of the tech. If I had a
nickel for every cigarette Steph smoked I'd have a
shitload of nickels. Abes' drumkit was badass...the
bass drum had the red/blue roses from the albums'
artwork. I was hoping to hear When Girls Telephone
Boys for the first time live, but still a kick ass
show.

Let me start out by saying WOW! This show was one of the greatest concerts
i have ever been to. Deftones left me wanting more a couple months ago at summer
sanitarium where they also rocked the house and gave me exactly what i needed at
the aragon, more deftones. Thrice and Thursday were o.k. I haven't really heard to
much of their music and they sounded really distorted. After about a good hour
and forty five minutes of Thrice and Thursday finally the red curtain in the back
round and the awesome sounds of deftones begins. They opened with Minerva and
everyone went nuts. I forgot the play list in order because I was to busy rocking
hard but here are some if not all of the songs they played bored, hexagram, be
quiet and drive, digital bath, bloody cape, my own summer, head up, change, seven
words, feteiceira, around the fur, battle axe. One song i wish they would've'e
played was back to school but oh well it still was one of the best shows ever.
It was totally worth the four hour wait for the Deftones.

Thrice were cool. I know none of their material whatsoever so I can't supply a
setlist but they sounded good and had a lot of energy. Didn't really impress me
enough to get me to run out and buy an album but their a good live band nonetheless.
Thursday were great. Geoff actually sang more than he let the crowd sing. I was
shocked yet pleased.
1. For The Workforce, Drowning
2. Paris In Flames
3. Between Rupture and Rapture
4. Understanding In a Car Crash
5. Jet Black New Year
7. Division St.
Those are all I can remember. There may have been one or two more but I was so out
of it at that time that I couldn't keep track. But I'm pretty sure the order is right.
They played very well. They're tight as hell. Wow, that rhymed. I'm a dork. I could
have used "Cross Out The Eyes" or "Signals Over The Air" or all of Full Collapse but
its cool. I was drained by the middle of their performance. It wasn't until the Deftones
took the stage that I got the regeneration of adrenaline (pun very intended) that I'd
need to withstand the crushing "human death-wave."
Deftones put on a great show. Chino was on like a motherfucker. So was the rest of
the band but lets face it: Chino's the one we have to really worry about not having
it some nights and understandably so. People don't give him enough credit for how
much power and energy (and throat-death) he puts into their shows and this was one
night in which he was totally on top of his game.
So I've included the setlist but I'll warn you: between songs 7 and 13 my memory is
a little sketchy. But all songs were definitely played. Its just the order that I'm
not entirely sure about. Highlights? Well, their entire performance was a highlight
of my life. Specifically, there were a couple extra screams here and there which
added to my enjoyment. On "Digital Bath," Chino's guitar didn't work so by approximately
the second verse, he just angrily chucked it to the side of the stage. Everyone seemed
pleased about this. Its really cool that they did "Deathblow." I'm pretty sure this was
only the second or third time the played it. I was pushing for "When Girls Telephone
Boys" and even brought a little sign which read: "LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS 'WHEN GIRLS
TELEPHONE BOY'S'" but everytime I got close enough to Chino to hand him the sign or
show it to him when he came into the crowd countless times, the death-wave of flailing
humans swooped me into any one of the opposite directions. And by the half-point of
the show, I had ripped the sign in half because I was holding the sides too tightly
and it had been folded too many times. But regardless, the show was outstanding and
well worth the slight freezing I endured waiting in line for about an hour. The only
thing that might have made it better is WGTB (or "When Girls Kill Death," right Andrea?)
and "Root." But otherwise, I'm completely satisfied. I would have taken pictures but
it wasn't until I got in line that someone said you COULD bring still cameras but NO
camcorders. I was kicking myself even though I doubt I would have gotten to take any shots.

First of all lets just say that that Thrice and Thursday were not a good
selection in my opinion " I wish PTW was at this show". I was very excited
to see the deftones because the last show I saw them play was amazing at the
Metro in may. They took way to long to go on stage, making everyone a bit
angry then they open with "Minerva" which is a good song but a horrible song
to open up with. Chino was the only one with stage presence, and Chi plucked
a note once in awhile and beat the crap out of his bass in drunken rage.
Steph's gutair work sounded out of tune at times, but Abes drums drowned
everything out. It was a pretty average show, but I seen them 5 times and
this was probably one of there most predictable shows ever, with horrible
sound.
Hey dftones! play small venues because you sounded like shit at the Aragon,
but awesome at the Metro. Your my favorite band, but you should play at
smaller venues, and stop thinking your huge rock stars because it showed at
this show.

First off the show fucken ROCKED! and I would also like to add that Brv1983@aol.com's
setlist is correct, they did not play Battleaxe! This was my 9th time seeing Deftones
and they never fail. When they played the aragon back in 11-8-2000 i caught two of Steph's
guitar picks this time i got only one.

Hey everybody,
First off i want to say that the show kicked so much ass. Probably the best show ive ever
seen.... or at least one of my favorites. I dont want to repeat what everyone else has
already said... but i did want to point something out... first off... someone said they
played "Battle-Axe," which i dont think they did... and secondly, i dont think anyone
posted that during the bridge of "Bored," when they started to draw everything out, they
started to play some of "Lucky"... well at least Chino started to sing the chours of lucky...
just wanted to let everyone know in case they forgot or didnt realize it at the time
-thanks -Matt
