Finally I got the chance to see my favourite band in the world, but it was ruined coz just before I got up to go to their stage 10 minutes before they were due to play I got a bad muscle cramp in my legs from hours of moshing to earlier bands in the day, so when I finally go to the stage they were playing at, I had missed them coming on, and also missed their opening song, which happened to be my favourite song, "Be Quiet and Drive". I got there half way between their 2nd song which was My own summer. Apparently my friend said they sounded a bit rusty, probably coz they haven't played live in ages. But the rest of the set I thought was done real well. Chino said at one point he needed to apologise for not coming down to Australia and New Zealand after they had done White Pony. But then they played only two songs of White Pony and most of the set was from Adrenaline. Although I wished they had come for a show on their own rather than a festival, coz most of the people in the mosh didn't know any of their songs except Change, so there were alot of people there just to crowd surf and weren't really there for the music. But it still was a great show. They played a bit of Clint Eastwood by Gorrillaz, which i think was in the middle of Bored. Abes hair looked alot longer than usual. At one point in between songs, Chi stopped to do something, and Chino jokingly asked if he was putting on make up. Also they were scheduled to play for 50mins but finished about 10min early, so that was a bit disappointing. They finished of with Headup, which went off. Heres the setlist (the middle bit isn't properly in Order): BQ&D My Own Summer Around the fur Root ----------------- Nosebleed Change Birthmark Feiticiera Bored (with Clint Eastwood) 7 Words ------------- Headup Francis D'Souza gunnerz10@hotmail.com
