I was lucky enough to be at the Tabernacle in Atlanta this Thursday to see the
Deftones. We missed Denali open cuz we got stoned on the way up and missed the
exit but we made in as Poison the Well was taking the stage. They were alright.
After they finished their set some local DJ came out and went on for a few mintues
about somethin, I wasnt paying attention. Then soon enough the Deftones finally took
the stage. The place faded to black and people went wild as they played the opening
notes to Minerva. I would go into further detail about the whole set but I was
severly stoned at the time and cant remember every little bit but I do remember
they did a kick ass cover of Duran Duran's the Chauffeur. It was a treat to see that
live. One thing that kinda bothered was that they didnt play 7 Words for the encore
instead they opted for Change, which was still awesome. Bloody Cape was fuckin off
the chain too. GOD it was great. Best day of my life man.

Amazing, gorgeous, perfection, beautiful..........just a few words to describe
the show last night. It was my 5th time seeing them, and man can they still put
on a show. Denali was decent, Poison the Well was pretty energetic, but nothing
compared to the energy that the Deftones brought to the stage. All during the show
they had a huge background that would change colors and show different special
effects on it. It was awesome! The guys walked on stage and played a short, soft
instrumental piece that was so beautiful. And then came Minerva. The crowd went
insane! Song after song followed, the crowd was so into it, and the band performed
masterfully. A note to all people on this earth - go see the Deftones! Your life
is not complete until you do! Hope to see them again soon in these parts! Setlist

The first band was I believe Denali and they pretty much suck so not much to say about them.
Then quickly after them PTW came on and was alot better than the first. That's when the
crowd started to get going!
And then after a little intermission the lights went out the crowd went insane and there
they were -Deftones! This was the first time I've seen The biggest band in the world and
they didn't let me down! The only disappointment I had for the night is the damn crowd was
swaying back and forth so bad I fell like 3 times and it sucked! So I had to leave the pit
and go up stairs father away from the band! I can hang with the crowd at hatebreed and SJR,
bands like that but when I can't stay on my feet its time to get out!DAMN EMOS! But all
and all it was the best show I ever saw in my entire life! But they didn't play 7 words!

I was at the show in Atlanta lastnight to see the deftones. It was the most amazing deftones
show I have been too, or any concert or show for that matter. Denail played first the sounded
good but were kind of out of place with Poison the well and the deftones. So the kicked things
off and after their set I knew things were going to get crazy as soon as Poison the well came on
stage. They brought alot of energy and really got the crowd excited to see the deftones.
Finally at about 9 15 the deftones came on stage. It was dark and Chino starting playing this
slow intro thing to get things started the crowd was going crazy, then deftones busted into
Minerva. They played alot of there good songs from there first 3 cd's. Probably the most crazy
song of the night was either Bloody Cape or Bored, people went nuts when they started playing
those songs. Overall it was the best show I have ever been too. My friend that was with me
just liked the deftones and he was into to Dav e Mattews bullshit music but he told me after
that concert things have changed and deftones are "fucking awesome" and to "fuck Dave Mattews"
I was there with my girlfriend and they played our song Digital Bath and deftones can really
rock even there slow stuff. I would tell anyone out there to see them live because the deftones
are really the best band live and in the world

i got the the T. and i was amped like hellz. ready
for the deftones again! I thought Denali was kool. i
can see why Chino picked this band. PTW went the fuck
off! The guitar player with the Gibson went insane,
it was kikin'. alright, the Deftones came on...so
much adrinaline running through me. they opened with
the fucking Minerva. My favorite songs of the night
were Mascara(i loved the way the played this song this
time, chino work with his Vocal box, so tight),
MX(beautiful), St. Carp, Lotion, B. Cape, Chauffer(DD
cover), all were amazing but Mascara touched me. i
saw Chi scream and that was fucking awesome. i dig
how they set up the stage now. Stef has his own area
as the rest do also. I HATE PEOPLE! a bunch of
fucking assholes at the show but...this show brought
me so many colors that put me in different moods and i
loved it. this was by far the best deftones show i
have seen. i was disappointed about them not playing
"Needles & Pins"(BUMPIN') now if they would have
played that my life would be set straight, you could
kill me afterwards. maybe next time. well there is
alot more to talk about but i keep what i want about
the defotnes in my soul, always. thankx for the post!

what can I say about the show in Atlanta Thursday? It was amazing. It was fucking cold
standing outside the tabernacle before the show, but well worth it. Denali opened up first.
They weren't to bad (a little out of place) but not bad.Poison the well went nuts and
got the crowd going. I was upstairs overlooking the pit. There were people getting
punched in the face left and right. There was a lot of energy in crowd but that was
nothing compared to what the deftones brought to the stage.
There was a cool ramp/platform that chino stood on to elevate him above everything else.
But he climbed down into the crown to sing one song. Everyone was trying to use the
crowd to surf over and touch him and hold him up. I can't remember the song but towards
the end he started singing The gorillaz "I'm happy, feeling glad, I got sunshine in a bag..."
